Looking for Calvin Harris tickets? Look no further; SeatPick has you covered with a wide range of tickets to see the Scottish singer, DJ, and record producer on tour.
Calvin Harris, real name Adam Wiles, was born in Dumfries in Scotland in 1984 and has risen to become one of the world's most celebrated DJs, record producers, and songwriters in the music industry.
He was a prolific record producer in his teens, putting together his own demos and releasing them, and he worked the Prima Facie label with the alias Souffer. He then moved from his native Scotland to London, but things didn't pan out as he had hoped, and he moved back to Dumfries and instead posted his work to his Myspace page.
He became very popular on the platform, and that attracted the attention of Mark Gillespie, who worked with Global Gathering, and this is when he opted for his more famous alias, Calvin Harris.
After signing with EMI and Sony, he worked on a remix of the All Saints single Rock Steady, and in 2007, Calvin Harris released his first album, I Created Disco. That album included up-tempo electroclash songs that were a nod to the 80s, which was clearly a period that influenced the young artist.
The album charted in the top ten of the UK official charts, and the single The Girls got to number three.
2009's Ready for the Weekend pushed Calvin Harris to new heights with the single I'm Not Alone topping the UK charts.
2011's We Found Love with Rihanna has perhaps become Calvin Harris's most familiar track, with the songwriter penning the hit that has sold more than ten million copies in the United States alone and was number one there for ten consecutive weeks.
However, his third studio album, 18 Months in 2012, took him to a whole new stratosphere. It was a number one success in the UK and a top 20 hit on the Billboard charts and also secured Calvin Harris two Grammy Award nominations.
It included a string of massive hit singles, including Bounce, featuring Kelis, Feel So Close, Let's Go with Ne-Yo, Sweet Nothing with Florence Welch, We'll Be Coming Back with Example, I Need Your Love featuring Ellie Goulding, and Thinking About You. Indeed 18 Months included an astonishing eight top ten hits on the UK Charts.
In 2014 Motion was released and continued the singer's climb in popularity resulting in three successive number-one UK singles with Summer, Blame, and Under Control with Alesso and Hurts.
In 2017 Calvin Harris released his fourth album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, which is the first album that does not feature his own vocals. It did, however, include a massive range of talents, including Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg, and John Legend.
Feels, featuring Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry, was a big UK number one, and he then worked with Dua Lipa on One Kiss and Sam Smith on Promises, both of which were, again, number one UK singles.
August 2022 saw Calvin Harris release Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2, where he once again teamed up with the biggest stars in music to produce yet more successful tracks.
Calvin Harris events are quite an occasion, and over the years, he's honed his talents to become a hugely popular live act.
He initially worked with Groove Armada on their Soundboy Rock tour and was supporting Faithless and Groove Armada in 2007.
Harris embarked on other tours with Deadmau5 and Skrillex, then Rihanna and Tiesto.
Calvin Harris has a range of tour dates upcoming, from summer festivals to residencies in Las Vegas to solo shows, and if you don't want to miss out on seeing the great DJ in action, then SeatPick can help you out.
