About Hungarian Grand Prix Tickets 2024/25

F1 Hungary History

The first Hungarian Grand Prix took place in 1936 and it has been a featured race on the FIA Formula One World Championship calendar every year since 1986. Indeed it was the first race to take place behind the Iron Curtain and it has had a certain prestige with fans and drivers alike since day one.

Over 200,000 attended that first official FIA Grand Prix and the stands are always full for this iconic event. The track is 4.3 miles long and features no less than 14 turns along its winding route.

The race track itself is known to be a tough one, full of twists that see drivers shift through the gears, adjusting their speed, and there are many concerns in terms of the amount of overtaking that is possible on the Hungaroring circuit, making it a great race to watch from the stands dotted along the route.

No driver has won the race more often than British legend Lewis Hamilton, who has emerged victorious on eight occasions between 2007 and 2020. Michael Schumacher has won the race four times and the great Ayrton Senna won it three times in the last 80s and early 90s.
