LOSC Lille History

The club was founded in 1944, as a merger between two clubs based in the city of Lille. Originally called Stade Lillois, the name soon changed to Lille Olympique Sporting Club.

LOSC Lille became Ligue 1 champions at the end of the 2010/11 campaign and also lifted the Coupe de France, defeating Paris Saint-Germain in the final. 10 years later Lille claimed its fourth league title, pipping PSG by just a single point and bringing an end to the Parisiens' spell of dominance in Ligue 1.
