12 teams have booked their spots in the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League knockout rounds, but there are still a handful of places remaining with one round of group matches to play.
Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, RB Leipzig and holders Manchester City all secured their berths to the Round of 16, commencing in February, with two group games to spare.
This week another six teams – Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, FC Barcelona, Lazio and PSV Eindhoven sealed progression to the next phase of the competition.

Newcastle United vs. AC Milan – Wednesday 13th December
It’s all to play for at St. James’ Park, as Newcastle United and AC Milan meet in a crucial group decider on Tyneside.
Level on 5 points after five games, the Magpies and the Rossoneri battle it out with only one of these teams able to remain in European football this term. Anything but victory for Milan will result in the Italian side crashing out at the group stages.
A win for either team would secure Europa League football at the very least, depending on the result in the simultaneous match-up between Dortmund and PSG.
Borussia Dortmund vs. Paris Saint-Germain – Wednesday 13th December

Playing against the only Group F team to have so far secured its place in the knockouts, Paris Saint-Germain may have an advantage up on both the teams in the corresponding fixture.
PSG are 2 points ahead of both Newcastle and AC Milan coming into the sixth and final instalment of the group phase.
A draw may potentially be enough for Luis Enrique’s team to nail down 2nd place in the ‘group of death’, though a win at Signal Iduna Park would confirm the Parisians’ qualification for the Round of 16 and may even see them leapfrog Borussia Dortmund into top spot.
