AC Milan History

The club was founded in December 1899, making it one of the oldest professional teams in Italian football still in existence today. The popular Rossoneri earned their nickname due to the club's colours of red and black, which were intentionally selected to inspire fear in the hearts of opponents.

League titles have been few and far between for AC Milan this century. Following the triumph under Ancelotti in 2002/03, the Rossoneri didn't win the Italian Serie A again until 2011.
