The Brazilian Grand Prix first took place at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in 1972 and was added to the Formula 1 calendar the following year, with local driver Emerson Fittipaldi running out the winner in both 1973 and 1974, the second victory coming in his World Championship winning campaign.
Between 1978 and 1989, the race was held most years at the Jacarepaguá circuit, the grand prix switching from Sao Paulo to Rio before moving back to Interlagos.
The most decorated winner of the race is Alain Prost, with the French driver picking up six victories in the Brazilian Grand Prix, with Carlos Reutemann and Michael Schumacher managing four wins apiece.
The Brazilian Grand Prix attracts huge crowds, with the venue holding a capacity of 60,000, which is fairly low when compared to other races on the Formula 1 schedule. This means Brazilian Grand Prix tickets are harder to get hold of, albeit this is less of a problem when you look to purchase them via SeatPick.
Another reason that event tickets for the Brazilian Grand Prix are so prized is because the race itself is one of the most iconic in Formula 1, and that makes it one of the most prestigious occasions to attend annually, leading to a spike in interest.
The track is very hilly, and that means cars are zooming by on the uneven ground, which makes it quite a spectacle for motor racing fans. The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, in its current layout, runs at 2.67 miles long and includes 15 turns.
The race lap record stands at 1:50.540 and was set by Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas back in 2018.
The current average price of tickets for the Brazilian Grand Prix is $52 and the prices of tickets are dependent on your location on the circuit. Grandstand tickets and entry to the premium grandstand, in particular, come at a greater cost. Similarly, hospitality packages will always be far more than general admission tickets for the race weekend.
What makes SeatPick particularly useful for those looking to buy motorsport tickets is that we offer a wide array of ticketing options at our site, meaning you will find it easier to purchase tickets to suit your budget.
Generally speaking, the races that are cheapest to attend during the FIA Formula One season are in Hungary, Bahrain, and Australia. European races in Austria, Spain, and Italy are also relatively low.
Tickets for all Formula 1 events are sold on SeatPick and are available now.
The Brazilian Grand prix in 2024 will take place on Sunday, the 5th of November.
