Charlotte Emma Aitchison, aka Charli XCX, was born in Cambridge, England, in August 1992 and began writing her own song at the tender age of 14.

Boom Clap

In 2012, the electronic superstar Charli XCX took her first steps on the mainstream track, appearing with Icona Pop on the infectious hit I Love It. Her debut album, True Romance, followed in 2023, and her breakout success came with the hit Boom Clap, which was a massive hit worldwide and helped push her second album, Sucker, up the charts.

Her musical style crosses many genres, be that avant-pop, dance-pop or pop-punk; her trailblazing career was only just getting going and fueled by her entrepreneurial spirit, she seemingly had many plates spinning simultaneously. On the first of those two releases, she worked with Troye Sivan on the hit 1999 and Blame It on Your Love with Lizzo.

Brat
