Luke Bryan was born in Leesburg, Georgia in July 1976 and after graduating from college he moved to Nashville and was signed by Capitol Nashville.

His debut album, I'll Stay Me, proved a moderate success, reaching number two on the US Country charts in 2007 which was the same placement as his second album, Doin' My Thing.

Doin My Thing gave Luke Bryan the first of his many number ones on the US Country Songs chart with Rain is a Good Thing hitting the top in January 2010. that was quickly followed by his second number-one seven months later with Someone Else Calling You Baby.

In 2011 his Tailgates & Tanlines album proved a worldwide smash. It sold over two and a half million copies in the United States alone.

That album scored Luke Bryan another big hit single, with Country Girl (Shake It for Me) proving a big success as were other singles from the album, including I Don't Want This Night to End, Drunk On You, and Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.

In 2013 Luke Bryan's fourth studio album, Crash My Party, sold over four million copies in the US and confirmed the singer's standing as one of the most prolific stars on the country music circuit.

This album spawned a series of hit singles including That's My Kind of Night, Drink a Beer, Play it Again, I See You and Crash My Party.

The Georgia native made it three number one albums in a row with Kill the Lights in 2014 and then in 2017 his What Makes You Country did likewise. In 2020 Luke Bryan released his seventh studio album and Born Here Live Here Die Here was a huge critical success and yet another number-one smash in the US.

One Margarita gave Luke Bryan one of his biggest singles to date and was further evidence of his longevity. Other hit songs from the album include What She Wants Tonight, Down to One and Knockin' Boots.

Luke Bryan is also well known as a judge on American Idol, a role he has been fulfilling since 2018. He has sold over 75 million records and has won a host of awards including a vast number of American Country Awards.
