It's Showtime!

This dominance began in the late 70s and the likes of Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar were the central pillars that helped the "Showtime" team win five NBA titles.

A 12-year spell without a title win was ended in 1999-2000 with the help of NBA greats Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. The team won three successful National Basketball Association titles over this period.

Byrant once again played a key role as the team made it to three successive NBA Finals appearances, including wins and losses against big rivals, the Boston Celtics.

The LeBron Era

The Lakers picked up their first NBA title in a decade when LeBron James played his part in bringing the title back to Staples Center in 2020, and the veteran player is still a big draw, and many fans are looking to get tickets to a Lakers game specifically so they can see the great man in action.

2024/25 saw LeBron James lineup with his son Bronny, an event that saw huge crowds swarm to the Crypto.com Arena and in the same season the capture of Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks greatly improved the team's roster.
