In 2024 the Formula One schedule will include, for the first time, a Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will be run on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.
It's the first time the F1 World Championship calendar has featured a race in Las Vegas since the 1982 Caesars Palace Grand Prix, which only ran for two seasons.
There are many reasons why the Las Vegas Strip race will be one to remember when it is first run in November 2023, and these include the fact that it is the first time in 40 years that a race has taken place on a Saturday, and not the traditional Sunday slot, as well as it taking place at night-time, making it a spectacle that fans of Formula One simply won't want to miss.
The Las Vegas race is the third that will take place in 2023, joining those that are located in Miami and Austin and will see drives zoom past those watching from hotel rooms as well as in prime positions in the Paddock Club.
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit features 14 turns and measures in at 3.8 miles and will see drivers reach speeds in excess of 212 mph (342 km/h).
The race track design includes three straights, a sequence of high-speed corners, and one chicane section and will be run over the course of 50 laps of high-stakes drama.
The circuit begins at a disused parking area that has been repurposed to house the pit lane and paddock area.
The drivers will pass many iconic areas in the city, including Las Vegas Boulevard, which is best known as the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas Grand Prix tickets vary wildly in terms of cost. Though the average starts from $52, the range fluctuates a great deal. Las Vegas hospitality packages being at one end, and general admission at the other.
Some tickets will come as part of overall deals with room packages, and others will simply cover grandstand seats.
For example, there are Paddock Club passes that cover a five-day experience that gives visitors amazing access throughout.
There are also private suites and other zone options to choose from, and then general admission options, which are among the best in the F1 season, with free food and drinks for this ticket type.
Via SeatPick, you'll be able to select from a vast array of ticketing types and, in doing so, access the best seats at the most competitive prices.
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, the 18th of November.
The race weekend runs from practice sessions on Thursday the 16th of November, with Qualifying taking place on Friday the 17th of November and the race on Saturday; this is a slight alteration on the traditional timings of Formula One races.
Las Vegas as a location is unlike any other, and the chance to visit such an out-of-this-world city to see the cream of the Formula One racing world compete is one of those once-in-a-lifetime events that simply must be sampled.
For the high-rollers, the best viewing area for the Las Vegas Grand Prix would have to be the East Harmon Zone Grandstands, which include great seats as well as all-inclusive gourmet food and beverages.
