Kayleigh Rose Amstutz was born in February 1988 in Willard, Missouri. and started to learn the piano at a young age and won her school talent show at the age of 13. She failed in an audition for America's Got Talent but didn't let this set her back and started to gain exposure by uploading performances of covers on her YouTube channel.

Chappell Roan released her debut single, Good Hurt, in 2017 and enjoyed her first chart success with Pink Pony Club, which came out in 2020 and broke into the United States Billboard Singles chart.

She toured with a number of big acts, including Olivia Rodrigo, Ben Platt and Declan McKenna and things really started to heat up for the Missouri native when she released her debut album.

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess earned universal praise and put her on the map. This spawned her biggest headline shows in front of arenas and rooms bursting with energy, creating an intoxicating live show experience that is part and parcel of her overall ability to hold a crowd's attention.

The album reached number five in the US and in the United Kingdom. It also performed well across Europe and seemingly every track released from the record was well received. Among the singles to chart well were Red Wine Supernova, Hot to Go and Casual.

In 2024, ahead of the release of her second studio album, she released her biggest single to date, Good Luck, Babe! proving a global success.
