What to do in Prague

Prague fuses riverside views, Gothic and Baroque landmarks, and cobbled streets with a busy calendar of football, hockey, classical concerts, and touring shows. Booking Prague tickets ahead of time makes it easier to build your trip around a few standout events and then layer in castle visits, river walks, and pub stops.

Why buy tickets in Prague via SeatPick?

SeatPick aggregates Prague football, hockey, and concert tickets into one place so you can compare dates, prices, and sections without hopping between multiple local sites. You can match a Sparta or Slavia game, an HC Sparta Praha home night, or a big tour stopping at an arena with Old Town and castle time.

• Filter by event type, stand, and budget, whether you want a league match at Letná or Eden, a hockey evening at an indoor arena, or a major tour at one of Prague’s big halls.
• Listings spell out exactly what each ticket includes, home or away sector, central seats, standing, or hospitality, so you know what to expect when you get to the turnstile.
• All partners are checked and every order comes with at least a 100% guarantee, useful if you are planning a short city break around one key match or concert.

Top Prague sports teams

Football and ice hockey are the heart of Prague’s sports scene, and both offer plenty of chances to catch a live crowd.

AC Sparta Praha and SK Slavia Praha

AC Sparta Praha and SK Slavia Praha are Prague’s two most famous football clubs and long‑standing rivals. Home games bring loud, partisan atmospheres, and fixtures against each other or other big Czech teams are ideal if you want to sample domestic football while you are in the city.

HC Sparta Praha ice hockey

HC Sparta Praha is one of the country’s best‑known ice‑hockey clubs and a regular contender in the Czech top flight. Home fixtures combine fast, physical action with a noisy, family‑friendly crowd, making them a strong alternative or complement to football if you visit during hockey season.

Other sports events

Prague also hosts athletics meetings, running events, and occasional international fixtures and tournaments. Checking what is scheduled for your dates can add a one‑off sports highlight alongside more classic sightseeing.

Top Prague music venues

Prague’s music scene ranges from historic halls and churches to modern arenas and club venues, so it is easy to add a performance to almost any itinerary.

O2 arena

O2 arena is Prague’s main modern indoor arena and the go‑to venue for large‑scale concerts, ice‑shows, and major sporting events. Its flexible layout and strong public‑transport links make it a natural first choice if you want a big‑production tour date during your stay.

O2 universum and Forum Karlín

O2 universum, next to the main arena, and Forum Karlín closer to the centre host mid‑to‑large‑scale concerts, comedy shows, and special events. Both offer modern staging and sound in capacities that feel big enough for atmosphere but still manageable for a night out.

Lucerna Music Bar and other clubs

Smaller venues such as Lucerna Music Bar, Roxy, Palác Akropolis, and Rock Café focus on club‑sized gigs, DJ nights, and themed events. Their central locations and intimate capacities bring you close to the stage and make it easy to combine a show with dinner or drinks in the Old Town or along the Vltava.

Top Prague attractions

Prague’s main sights group tightly around the river, making it simple to see a lot between games and gigs.

Highlights include:

• Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, overlooking the city from the hill on the west bank of the Vltava.
• Charles Bridge, the historic stone bridge lined with statues and views up and down the river.
• Old Town Square, with the Astronomical Clock, Gothic towers, and a ring of cafés and side streets.
• The Jewish Quarter (Josefov), with synagogues, a historic cemetery, and small museums.
• Riverside paths and viewpoints, plus neighbourhoods like Malá Strana and Vinohrady that offer quieter streets, parks, and plenty of places to eat and drink.

Planning your Prague visit

When planning a Prague trip, start by choosing one or two anchor events, perhaps a Sparta or Slavia home match, a hockey night, or a major Prague concert at O2 arena, and then fit castle visits, bridge crossings, and Old Town walks around them. With your core tickets booked, trams, metro lines, and very walkable central districts make it straightforward to move between venues, viewpoints, and evening spots.

From a derby‑style football night or hockey game and a concert at O2 arena, O2 universum, or Forum Karlín to a day that takes in Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the Old Town, you can shape a Prague itinerary that balances live sport, music, and the city’s most atmospheric streets and river views.
