About AC Milan Europa League
AC Milan History in the Europa League
One of the most successful sides to have ever played in the Champions League, AC Milan have, perhaps surprisingly, been rather unsuccessful when playing in the Europa League. I Rossoneri are an extremely popular and passionately supported club. Therefore it's no surprise that the 80,018 capacity San Siro, or Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, is a vibrant place when they host top European sides.
Superstars such as Andriy Shevchenko, Filippo Inzaghi, Kaka, Rui Costa and Paolo Maldini have all featured in previous AC Milan sides. Players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu have all tried in more recent memory to achieve Europa League glory; a trophy that has eluded the club throughout their history.
AC Milan's Top Achievements In the Europa League
AC Milan are the second most successful side in UEFA Champions League history, winning the competition seven times. However, I Rossoneri are yet to lift the UEFA Cup/Europa League trophy.
They've played more than 100 matches in the competition, but the red and black stripes of AC Milan have not even featured in a single tournament final. They have a poor record in the competition and will be hoping to rectify that this season.
