Spain and England’s Route to the Final
Spain have undoubtedly been the most impressive side throughout the summer tournament. Young wingers Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams have been unplayable, with La Roja winning all their matches thus far, beating Croatia, Italy, Albania, Georgia, Germany, and France on their way to the final.
Yamal, 16, became the youngest ever goalscorer at a European Championship in the semi-final victory over France. The FC Barcelona wonderkid scored a sublime goal to beat AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan from distance.
Meanwhile, England have enjoyed a much easier run to the final, at least on paper. The Three Lions failed to impress in the group stage, despite finishing top of a group that contained Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia.
Southgate’s side showed great spirit to recover from a goal down in each of their three knockout matches, beating Slovakia, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Their 2-1 semi-final victory over the Dutch was undoubtedly their most impressive performance thus far, with substitute Ollie Watkins scoring a superb late winner.
England will have to be at their best if they’re to beat Spain in the final.
Ticket Prices for England’s Three Tournament Finals
This is the first time England have reached the final of a major international tournament outside of England. England have previously participated in the 1966 World Cup Final and the Euro 2020 Final, both at Wembley Stadium.
The Three Lions beat Germany 4-2 in the 1966 showpiece match, with tickets sold for as little as 10 shillings, which is £11.67 in today’s money after being adjusted for inflation.
For the Euro 2020 final, which Gareth Southgate’s side lost to Italy on penalties, tickets were made available by UEFA from £84. The cheapest tickets for the upcoming Euro 2024 final were sold from £80 by UEFA, although fans had to fork out £842 for Category 1 tickets.
Fans hoping to buy tickets for the Euro 2024 final should look no further than SeatPick. We’ve got a huge inventory of options, whether you want to sit among the England fans, among the Spain fans, or in the hospitality seats.
