How Teams Qualify for Euro 2028

The host nations do not qualify automatically. England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland all play in qualifying, with two places in the finals reserved for the two best-ranked hosts that fail to qualify directly.

The 12 group winners and the eight best runners-up qualify directly, with the remaining places decided in the March 2028 play-offs.
