Blink-182 was formed in 1992 in Poway, California. The band's classic lineup features Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker. The band released their debut album, Cheshire Cat, in 1995, and that was followed by sophomore effort Dude Ranch, but it was the group's third album, Enema of the State, that really saw Blink 182 become a mainstream phenomenon. The 1999 album sold over 15 million records and included two of the band's signature tunes, What's My Age Again? and All the Small Things, both of which were huge hits. Their 2001 album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket went to number one on the US Billboard charts and sold very well across the world.
The band split up in 2005, and Travis Barker was badly injured in a plane crash in 2009. They reformed as presenters at the Grammy Awards. Tom DeLonge left the band for a second time in 2015 and was replaced by Matt Skiba. DeLonge returned to the band in 2022, which was the sign that Blink-182 was truly back in the groove.
In 2023, the band released their ninth studio album with One More Time... going to number one in the US, and number two in the UK, and their return to form has been confirmed by sold-out tours, played to critical and commercial acclaim. Blink 182 have sold tens of millions of albums worldwide and won countless accolades, including Kerrang! Awards and MTV Video Music Awards, they also scored a Grammy nomination for their 2017 album California.
