2024 will see Tenacious D continue The Spicy Meatball Tour, which takes the duo across three continents in what is proving to be one hell of a World Tour.

In Europe they play a series of huge dates with the biggest being events at the Accor Arena in Paris, the Manchester Arena, the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and Spekctrum in Oslo, Norway. Jack Black and Kyle Gass then travel to Australia and New Zealand for the fifth leg of their road trip.

There they will play two dates at Sydney's International Convention Centre and shows in the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and in Auckland at the Spark Arena among a host of others.

The Spicy Meatball tour began in May 2023 and sees dozens of scheduled shows played across massive venues all over the world, and is very much proof that the pair are truly expert entertainers and musicians.

Tenacious D History

Tenacious D's history started way back in the mid-1980s when Jack Black and Kyle Gass met in Los Angeles as members of The Actors' Gang theater troupe. The pair shared a love of music, and they played their first gig in 1994.

In 2001 the group released their debut album, the self-titled Tenacious D, and it charted well across the world and included the successful singles, Wonderboy and Tribute.

Pick of Destiny

In 2006 the two appeared in the movie Tenacious D In The Pick of Destiny, which was not a great success commercially, but did lead to an accompanying soundtrack which broke into the top ten in both the US and the UK.

In 2012 the band released their third studio album, Rize of the Fenix, which reached number four on the US Billboard Albums chart and number two in the UK and also went to the top ten in Australia, Austria, Germany and Ireland.

2018 saw Tenacious D put out their fourth album, Post-Apocalypto, which was well received by critics and moderately successful release.

Where the band really continue to excel is when they are on the road. The duo, as well as being hugely talented musicians, are also unsurprisingly excellent as performers.
