Al Hilal History
Al Hilal Saudi Football Club was founded in 1957, two years after present-day rivals Al Nassr had been formed also in the city of Riyadh.
Known as the Blue Wave, Al Hilal has asserted itself as the most decorated club in Saudi Arabian football.
Since 1987, the club has been based at King Fahd International Stadium. This venue is under construction until 2026, with Al Hilal playing their home games at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium for the time being.

Al Hilal won a record 18th Saudi Pro League title in 2022, nine clear of bitter rivals Al Nassr. The Blue Wave also won the King's Cup for the 10th time the following year.
Al Hilal won the AFC Champions League for a second time under its current format, on top of two titles during the competition's predecessor Asian Club Championship.
