Manchester City clashed with local rivals Man United in the 2023 FA Cup final, with 83,179 spectators inside Wembley Stadium to witness the 190th Manchester derby – and the first of its kind in the FA Cup final. The Manchester rivals reconvened the following year, marking the first time since 1885 that the same two teams contested back-to-back FA Cup finals. Teenage sensations Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo scored as MUFC claimed a 2-1 victory to celebrate a 13th FA Cup success.

The 2025 FA Cup final marked the first major trophy for Crystal Palace, as Oliver Glasner's side overcame Manchester City, making their third successive appearance in the final. Eberechi Eze scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for the Eagles, with Dean Henderson saving a penalty from Omar Marmoush.
