History of Molineux Stadium

Molineux Stadium has been the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers ever since the venue opened back in 1889, making it one of the oldest active stadiums in English football.

The highest attendance for a game at Molineux Stadium was 61,315, versus Liverpool in 1939, though the stadium (as well as most other British football grounds) was forced to reduce its capacity following the Taylor Report of 1990.
