Liverpool vs Real Madrid – Pick of the Round
Last season Jurgen Klopp’s side were battling manfully to secure a memorable quadruple, and after clinching both the FA and EFL Cup, they went into the final round of Premier League fixtures with an outside chance of winning the title. When Man City went two down at home to Aston Villa, it looked as if the impossible might just happen, but in the end, Pep Guardiola’s side held their nerve.
Klopp then took his Liverpool side to Paris to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final, and the likes of Mohamed Salah were thwarted by a man-of-the-match display from Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois, and Vinicius Junior scored the only goal of the game to give the Spanish giants the trophy.
This time around, Liverpool are in all sorts of disarray. Amazingly the Anfield side are in ninth place, 21 points off leaders Arsenal and 10 points off a top-four finish, and the Champions League will give the Merseyside team a break from their domestic torture (having also been eliminated from both the EFL and FA Cup).
They once again face Real Madrid and will hope to muster a strong display against Carlo Ancelotti’s men. Don’t bet against Liverpool digging in deep, and anything can happen, especially when you consider the team’s amazing record on those momentous midweek evening matches in Europe.

London Calling
It would be fair to say that Chelsea and Tottenham aren’t where they’d want to be halfway through the Premier League season. Antonio Conte’s side are obviously better off than their London rivals, but even Spurs are struggling to get themselves into the top-four race.
Chelsea, under Graham Potter, are woefully off the pace. The Stamford Bridge side sit in tenth place in the table, having won just two of their last eleven Premier League games.
Both sides will look to the Champions League as a very nice distraction to have, and both teams face tough draws but do at least have the bonus of facing their opponents at home in the second leg.
Tottenham take on an AC Milan side that are in freefall. The San Siro side have shipped in nine goals in their last two fixtures and are outside the top four.

Chelsea have a much tougher prospect as they play German giants Borussia Dortmund who are in a fine run of form. The Westfalenstadion side have won all three of their Bundesliga games since the return from the World Cup, and you expect young England international Jude Bellingham to be a real handful.

Favourites Face Tricky Tie
Manchester City remain the big favourite for the Champions League title, and Pep Guardiola will be going all in to win it this season as the club seeks their first-ever Champions League crown. They find themselves behind Arsenal in Premier League action but are obviously an ongoing threat though some may argue that their real effort lies in Europe.
On the face of it, a tie against RB Leipzig looks pretty straightforward, but the German side are playing very well right now, with Marco Rose’s team unbeaten in domestic league action since September.
Man City fans looking to get tickets to either home or away fixtures can do so at SeatPick, where Champions League ticket availability is very high right now.
Battle of the Big Guns
Another Round of 16 game that will attract a great deal of interest, especially from neutrals who may want to hop on a flight to see the two teams in action, sees Paris Saint Germain play Bayern Munich in what promises to be a very hard-fought clash.
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will be key performers as Ligue 1 title holders PSG take on a Bayern Munich team that has been out of sorts since club football returned after the World Cup.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side have drawn against RB Leipzig, FC Koln and Eintracht Frankfurt and, in doing so, has allowed a host of teams to get closer to them at the top of the Bundesliga table.
You can guarantee that this clash will go down to the wire, and tickets for the PSG vs Bayern Munich games are still available via SeatPick, so take a look at what’s available and get yourself to the game!
