Beer and football go together like penalties and heartbreak. As we head into a real summer World Cup, unlike the Qatar tournament last time out, we can expect beer to be a key factor in the North America-based tournament.
Summer will be well and truly upon us in America, Canada and Mexico and the demand for beers to accompany the football will be immense. As a result, here at SeatPick we have done some research into the cost of a beer at each of the 16 World Cup venues.
How Much Does a Beer Cost at Every 2026 World Cup Stadium?
The results are striking. A beer at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City costs around £2.01. The same drink at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles or Levi's Stadium in San Francisco will set you back £10.36. That is more than five times the price for the same tournament, in the same month, just a few thousand miles apart.
Beer Prices at All 16 World Cup 2026 Stadiums
We researched the average concession beer prices at every stadium hosting matches this summer. Here is the full breakdown, ranked from cheapest to most expensive.
| City | Stadium | Beer Price (£) |
|---|---|---|
| Guadalajara 🇲🇽 | Estadio Akron | £2.01 |
| Mexico City 🇲🇽 | Estadio Azteca | £2.01 |
| Monterrey 🇲🇽 | Estadio BBVA | £4.29 |
| Vancouver 🇨🇦 | BC Place | £6.29 |
| Atlanta 🇺🇸 | Mercedes-Benz Stadium | £6.29 |
| Boston 🇺🇸 | Gillette Stadium | £6.35 |
| Toronto 🇨🇦 | BMO Field | £6.66 |
| Kansas City 🇺🇸 | Arrowhead Stadium | £6.81 |
| Seattle 🇺🇸 | Lumen Field | £7.19 |
| Dallas 🇺🇸 | AT&T Stadium | £7.19 |
| Philadelphia 🇺🇸 | Lincoln Financial Field | £8.32 |
| Miami 🇺🇸 | Hard Rock Stadium | £8.88 |
| Houston 🇺🇸 | NRG Stadium | £9.46 |
| New Jersey 🇺🇸 | MetLife Stadium | £9.62 |
| San Francisco 🇺🇸 | Levi's Stadium | £10.36 |
| Los Angeles 🇺🇸 | SoFi Stadium | £10.36 |
Mexico dominates the cheap end. All three Mexican host cities occupy the top three spots, with Guadalajara and Mexico City effectively tied at £2.01 per beer. Monterrey is slightly pricier at £4.29 but still less than half the cost of any US venue. If affordable drinking is your priority, Mexico is the place to be.
Canada sits comfortably in the middle. Vancouver and Toronto both come in under £7, which is reasonable given the cost of living in both cities. They offer a decent middle ground for fans who want North American atmosphere without California prices.
Within the United States, there is a clear geographic pattern. The southern and central cities tend to be more affordable. Atlanta and Boston are the cheapest US options at around £6.30, while Kansas City and Seattle sit just above £7. It is the coastal heavyweights that sting the most. Philadelphia, Miami and Houston all fall between £8 and £10, while the two California venues in San Francisco and Los Angeles top the table at £10.36 each. MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, which hosts the World Cup Final on 19 July, is not far behind at £9.62.
For fans doing the maths on a full day out, four beers across a match in Mexico City would cost around £8. The same four beers at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco would cost over £41.

Cheap Beer Doesn't Always Mean a Cheap Day Out
Here is where it gets interesting. The cities with the cheapest beer are not necessarily the cheapest places to watch a World Cup match. When you combine the lowest available group stage ticket with two beers, the rankings shift significantly.
Mexico City is the perfect example. It has the joint-cheapest beer in the tournament at £2.01, but its cheapest group stage ticket (Uzbekistan vs Colombia) starts at £469. The Estadio Azteca is hosting the opening match and several premium Mexico fixtures, pushing all ticket prices up.
Monterrey, on the other hand, combines cheap beer (£4.29) with the cheapest group stage tickets in the tournament. Tunisia vs TBD starts from just £113, giving it a total matchday cost of around £122. That is nearly four times cheaper than Mexico City.
| City | Cheapest Ticket (£) | Ticket + 2 Beers (£) |
|---|---|---|
| Monterrey 🇲🇽 | £113 | £122 |
| Houston 🇺🇸 | £116 | £135 |
| Atlanta 🇺🇸 | £138 | £151 |
| Kansas City 🇺🇸 | £140 | £154 |
| San Francisco 🇺🇸 | £135 | £156 |
| Seattle 🇺🇸 | £166 | £180 |
| Philadelphia 🇺🇸 | £164 | £181 |
| Vancouver 🇨🇦 | £183 | £196 |
| Los Angeles 🇺🇸 | £186 | £207 |
| Miami 🇺🇸 | £203 | £221 |
| Guadalajara 🇲🇽 | £235 | £239 |
| Toronto 🇨🇦 | £248 | £261 |
| New Jersey 🇺🇸 | £258 | £277 |
| Dallas 🇺🇸 | £278 | £292 |
| Boston 🇺🇸 | £293 | £306 |
| Mexico City 🇲🇽 | £469 | £473 |
San Francisco is the standout surprise. Despite having the most expensive beer in the tournament, it ranks fifth overall for matchday value because group stage tickets for lower-profile games like Jordan vs Algeria start from just £135. Cheap beer does not guarantee a cheap day out, and expensive beer does not necessarily mean an expensive one.

What About the Big Matches?
Of course, most fans travelling to the World Cup will not be choosing their match based on beer prices. The marquee fixtures carry significant premiums regardless of the city. The World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium on 19 July starts from £4,323, and you will be paying £9.62 per beer to go with it. The two semi-finals in Dallas (from £1,200) and Atlanta (from £1,190) are more affordable on the ticket front, with Atlanta also offering cheaper beer at £6.29 compared to Dallas at £7.19.
For England fans, the group stage match against Croatia in Dallas on 17 June starts from £530 on the resale market, with beer at £7.19. A trip to Boston to watch England vs Ghana on 23 June is slightly cheaper on the ticket (from £425) but similar on the beer (£6.35).
The USA's opening match against Paraguay in Los Angeles (from £788) combines one of the most expensive group stage tickets with one of the most expensive beers. It will be a pricey afternoon in every sense.
