How Much Is a Beer at Every Premier League Ground?

The most expensive pint in the Premier League this season is at champions Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, priced at £6.80.

That's £3.30 more than the cheapest pint in the whole division, found at Ipswich Town's Portman Road for just £3.50.

Here at SeatPick we have pulled matchday beer prices from all 20 Premier League grounds for the 2026/27 season to find out exactly where fans pay the most, and least, for a pint before kick-off.

A trip to the football rarely comes cheap once you add up the ticket, the travel and the cost of standing at the bar, so we wanted to see how much that last part really varies from ground to ground.

Emirates Stadium, Stamford Bridge & Villa Park: The Three Priciest Pints in the League

Much like last season's Premier League, Arsenal top the table by a clear margin, with a pint at the Emirates costing £6.80.

Chelsea aren't far behind. A pint at Stamford Bridge costs £6.50, just 30p short of the Gunners.

Aston Villa complete the podium at £6.10, the only club outside London in the top three.

Villa Park's price is a reminder that beer costs don't always follow the same pattern as ticket prices, where Villa are usually among the more affordable clubs to watch.

Four Clubs Tied At £6.00: Fulham, Tottenham, Brentford & Manchester City

Below the top three, four clubs share exactly the same pint price of £6.00.

Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford and Manchester City all charge fans the same amount for a pint, despite being very different propositions on a matchday.

Three of those four clubs are based in west London, within a few miles of each other.

Manchester City are the outlier, proof that beer pricing doesn't always follow the capital-versus-the-rest pattern seen elsewhere in football costs.

At the back end of 2025/2026, as Tottenham faced the unthinkable and relegation to the Championship loomed, the north London side made a lot of crucial decisions.

Roberto De Zerbi was brought in to galvanise an underperforming squad. Antonin Kinsky returned in goal after his personal nightmare in the Champions League and the Tottenham hierarchy also attempted to incentivize the fans too.

Season ticket holders were offered a free drink on every alcoholic beverage bought pre-match, in an attempt to get fans in early to help the Spurs side avoid the drop.

Drinking beer at a Premier League match is very much part of the ritual fans up and down the country engage in every time they head to their club's stadium. The clubs themselves give a lot of thought to the prices of beer and food at matches.

Are Premier League Beer Prices Higher in London?

London does dominate the top end of the pint price table.

Across the six London clubs in the Premier League this season, the average pint costs £6.20, compared with £5.41 everywhere else in the country.

Crystal Palace, at £5.90, is the only London club to sit below that capital average, though still comfortably above the league median.

That gap is likely down to a mix of higher operating costs and heavier matchday footfall in and around the city.

Portman Road, Anfield & Stadium of Light: The Cheapest Pints in the Premier League

At the other end of the table, Ipswich Town offer by far the cheapest pint in the league.

Portman Road's £3.50 pint is nearly half the price of the Emirates, and the only ground in the division to charge under £4.

Liverpool and Sunderland are next cheapest, at £4.80 and £5.00 respectively.

Anfield's price is a pleasant surprise given how much demand there is for tickets at one of English football's most famous grounds.

Why Do Premier League Pint Prices Vary So Much Between Grounds?

A £3.30 gap between the most and least expensive pint in the same league is a big swing for what is, in theory, the same drink.

Stadium ownership and catering contracts play a big part. Grounds run by in-house hospitality teams tend to price differently to those using third-party concession operators.

Location matters too. Newcastle United's St James' Park and Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium both sit in cities where a pint in the surrounding pubs tends to cost less than in London, and that broadly carries through to the concourse bar.

It isn't just the pint that swings wildly by ground, either. Arsenal's matchday pie, at £8.85, is the single most expensive in the Premier League on its own, and costs more than an entire pint and pie combined at four other clubs.

Brighton's Amex Stadium sits close to the league average on both counts, a £5.80 pint alongside a £5.70 pie.

How Matchday Drink Prices Fit Into the Wider Cost of Watching Football

A pint is only one part of the matchday bill.

We've broken down the bigger picture separately in our guide to Premier League season ticket prices, covering what it costs to sit in the same seat every week.

As a ticket comparison site pulling listings from across the secondary market, SeatPick helps fans weigh up the full cost of a matchday out, not just the price on the ticket.

A pint or two before kick-off looks small next to the ticket price itself, but it adds up over a full season of home games.

Commenting on the wider pint and pie pricing study behind these figures, Gilad Zilberman, Co-Founder of SeatPick, says:

"The cost of a matchday out has become a real talking point for fans this season, and the gap between clubs is bigger than most people realise. Paying over £6 for a pint at some grounds, against under a four pounds at others, shows just how differently clubs are pricing the basics. It's well worth factoring into travel and ticket budgets before matchday."
