Manchester City Tickets Much More Expensive Away From Home
The undoubted big Premier League story during the international break was that Manchester City were found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules.
Manchester City were always an anomaly in the Premier League resale market for secondary tickets in that they were amongst the cheapest teams in the league. Despite boasting the best players and when Pep Guardiola was in charge, the best coach.
Inflated sponsorship deals always looked possible when you consider that Manchester City had some of the cheapest tickets to see star players such as Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland.
This continues today, where Manchester City away tickets average over £700 whilst home matches average £300.

The lack of domestic football, just after the summer break, has increased demand to see England’s top flight.
High-profile international matches, such as England’s Wembley loss to Spain and the Three Lions smashing Croatia 7-0 may also have sent Premier League average ticket prices increasing too.
Brighton Ticket Prices Up 75%
For many years now, Brighton have punched above their weight in the Premier League.
The Seagulls have started the season in incredible form, routing the likes of Aston Villa and Arsenal at the Amex with a squad that has shown no fear.
As a result, it will come as no surprise, that there is major interest in seeing Brighton perform with their Premier League tickets having increased by 75% in the last week alone.
Brighton face Crystal Palace in the “M23 Derby” on October 18, 2026, prices for that fixture have increased by 62%.
The only Brighton game to have gone down in price in the coming weeks is the away Carabao Cup fixture at Manchester City which starts at £19.

The fact the promoted teams are expensive is partly down to fewer tickets on the supply side but in the case of the three teams this season, is also as they are not expected to be whipping boys.
Birmingham & Newcastle: The Cheapest Premier League Cities
Aston Villa went through a summer of change within their squad. As did Newcastle United.
Both sides have produced wins in their opening five matches but there is a fear that these could be seasons of struggle for Aston Villa and Newcastle.
This might be one reason why these are two of the cheapest Premier League cities right now.
