History of the Vitality Stadium

Originally known as Dean Court, the ground was built in 1910 and it has been the home of AFC Bournemouth ever since.

The Vitality Stadium has a capacity in the region of 11,464, which was the smallest venue of all 20 Premier League stadiums in the 2024/25 season. The highest attendance recorded at Dean Court was in 1957, when 28,799 spectators entered the ground for a game against Manchester United.

The stadium was completely rebuilt in 2001 and in July 2017 the club confirmed it would look to build a new stadium in Kings Park, nearby the current site.

Away fans are seated in the Vitality East Stand, though there are also home supporters in this part of the ground. The Steven Fletcher Stand, meanwhile, is on the west side of the stadium, with just under 2,500 seats, and this is where many of the club's most loyal and vocal supporters are seated.
