As of 2023, Ecuador have never won a Copa America tournament but have certainly come relatively close in previous campaigns.
The first time La Tri took part in the Copa America was in 1939, and in 1959, they finished fourth. At the 1993 edition, which was hosted by Ecuador, they had perhaps their most successful campaign.
