FC Copenhagen History in the Europa League
FC Copenhagen are one of the most successful teams in Denmark and regularly feature in the Europa League. The club, also known as FC Kobenhaven, play their home games at the Telia Parken Stadium. The venue is bouncing on European nights when more than 38,000 fans stream into the stands to see their team welcome some of the biggest football teams in the world.
The Danes have seen men such as Brede Hangeland, Christian Poulsen, Sibusiso Zuma, Dame N’Doye and Jesper Gronkjaer all feature for them over the years, as did Robert Skov.

FC Copenhagen have had a number of respectable campaigns in the Europa League when they have been a part of the tournament. Having played more than 100 matches in the Europa League/UEFA Cup, FC Copenhagen have managed to reach the group stage in nine separate editions of the competition, whilst also progressing to the knockout stages at least five times.
The Danes reached the Round of 16 in the 2016/17 and the quarter-finals in the 2019/20 season, losing 1-0 to Manchester United after extra-time. FC Kobenhaven have also often entered the Europa League after featuring in the UEFA Champions League group stage, therefore providing fans with continental action in two different tournaments at their Telia Parken Stadium.
