Genoa FC History

Based in the north-western region of Italy, Genoa CFC have been the national league champions nine times overall however none of these titles have come in the Serie A era. Their one and only Coppa Italia success was achieved in 1937.
Participation in European football has been very scarce for Genoa, though they did reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup (precursor to the Europa League) in the 1991/92 season, losing out to eventual champions Ajax.
