Real Madrid vs Villarreal is a fixture that the Los Blancos would generally favour when played at the Santiago Bernabeu and as an added bonus, there is always a plethora of goals being scored in the meetings between the two sides in the Spanish capital.

However, Villarreal has managed to upset the atmosphere at the iconic stadium as well, with a 0-1 win in 2018 that surprised everybody.

That said, Real Madrid versus Villarreal is clearly an entertaining fixture that offers the possibility of a number of goals, which always helps to turn the atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabeu up another level. It is definitely one that needs to be experienced in person.
