History of Selhurst Park

Selhurst Park officially opened in August 1924 and it has been the home of Crystal Palace Football Club ever since. Based in south London, Selhurst Park has a 25,486 capacity, thus making it one of the smallest venues in the Premier League.

The record attendance here was 51,801, recorded in 1979 before safe-seating was made mandatory by the Taylor Report in 1990. The stadium has undergone a number of renovations over the years, including a £100m project in 2018.
