About The Ashes Tickets 2026/27
SeatPick is your trusted marketplace for Ashes tickets, the most famous rivalry in Test cricket. The series between England and Australia is usually played every two years, and in summer 2027 it returns to England. There are five Tests, from Trent Bridge in June to the Kia Oval in August.
England haven't won the Ashes since 2015. Australia have kept the urn for five series in a row, most recently with a 4-1 win in 2025/26. That makes the Ashes 2027 a huge summer for England fans.
Grounds will be sold out, and most fans won't get seats through the official ballots, so the resale market is where many will find their tickets.

-
Lord's: The Home of Cricket. Tickets for the Lord's Test are always the hardest to get.
-
Edgbaston: Famous for having the loudest crowd in the country, especially in the Hollies Stand. It has hosted some of the best Ashes finishes.
-
Utilita Bowl: Southampton hosts a men's Ashes Test for the first time, adding a new venue to the series.
-
Kia Oval: The traditional home of the final Test. The Oval decided the series in both 2005 and 2023.
Australian fans also travel to an English Ashes in big numbers. If you're coming from abroad, buy early and plan your trip around the five Tests.
How to Get Ashes 2027 Tickets
Each ground sells its own Ashes tickets, mostly through ballots that opened in autumn 2026. Demand for the Ashes is far higher than the number of seats, so many people who enter the ballots miss out. SeatPick compares resale listings across trusted sellers, so you can still find seats at every Test after the official allocation has gone. Lord's, Edgbaston and the first and last days of each Test usually sell out first and cost the most.
Ashes History
The Ashes began in 1882, after Australia beat England at the Oval. A British newspaper then printed a mock obituary saying that English cricket had died and that "the body will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia." England's next tour became the quest to "regain the Ashes," and the small terracotta urn has been the prize ever since.
Australia have controlled the rivalry recently. They won 4-0 at home in 2017/18 and kept the urn after 2-2 draws in England in 2019 and 2023. They won 4-0 again in 2021/22. In 2025/26, Australia won the first three Tests to keep the Ashes. England won at Melbourne, but Australia took the series 4-1. Mitchell Starc was player of the series with 31 wickets, and Travis Head scored the most runs with 629.

Ashes 2027 Guide
This will be England's first home Ashes since Ben Stokes retired from international cricket in 2026. Joe Root is back as Test captain and Stephen Fleming is the new head coach. Root is one of England's greatest ever batters, and leading his side to an Ashes win at home would be the biggest achievement of his career. Australia will arrive as holders, so they only need to draw the series to keep the urn. England need to win it outright.
The Women's Ashes also comes to England in 2027, with the only Test at Headingley from 24 to 27 June.
Don't miss your chance to see cricket's greatest rivalry live. With SeatPick, buying Ashes tickets is simple, secure and reliable. Compare prices for every Test and book your Ashes 2027 tickets today.
