AC Milan vs Paris Saint Germain (PSG) Tickets

When AC Milan clashes with Paris Saint-Germain, it's a showdown between two of the most stylish European cities. Both clubs are footballing giants, each carrying a legacy of excellence in their own right.

AC Milan, the Italian powerhouse, boasts an impressive history which includes seven UEFA Champions League titles, a record only surpassed by Real Madrid. However, the last time they tasted European glory was way back in the 2006/07 season. Milan's fortunes have oscillated in recent years, often missing out on Champions League football. Yet, they're currently enjoying something of a renaissance, winning a Serie A title in 2021/22 and reaching the Champions League semi-finals in the following season.

On the other side of the pitch stands Paris Saint-Germain, a club that underwent a dramatic transformation after being acquired by Qatari investors in 2011. With an influx of world-class talent, PSG has reigned supreme in Ligue 1, securing numerous domestic titles. Yet, their ultimate goal remains the UEFA Champions League trophy, which they are still yet to win. The Parisians came agonisingly close to achieving glory in the 2019/20 season but narrowly lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

AC Milan vs PSG Head to Head

The two clubs were drawn together in the 2023/24 Champions League group stage, facing off in a competitive match for the first time in more than 20 years. Their previous meeting came in the 2000/01 season, when Nicolas Anelka and Andrey Shevchenko faced off on two occasions in the Champions League group stage. Both matches were drawn 1-1 and neither club managed to progress to the knockout stages.

Prior to that, AC Milan and PSG met in the 1994/95 Champions League semi-final. Milan’s Dejan Savicevic was the star man, bagging two goals and one assist in a 3-0 aggregate victory.

A host of players have played for both AC Milan and PSG over the years, hinting at an excellent relationship between the two clubs. In July 2012, PSG completed the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva from AC Milan. Both players were adored by the fans in both Milan and Paris, as were Ronaldinho and Thiago Motta.

More quality talent has passed between the two clubs. George Weah, Leonardo, Jeremy Menez, and Alex all swapped the blue and red of Paris for the black and red of AC Milan. In recent years, Alessandro Florenzi joined that list while Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma went in the other direction.
