Air History

Air were formed in 1995 and after initially working for other acts, producing great remixes, they opted to go it alone and release their own material.

In 1998 they released their debut album, Moon Safari, which proved a massive hit around the world, selling millions of copies. It also spawned a string of successful singles, including Sexy Boy, Kelly Watch the Stars and All I Need.

They then turned to work on soundtracks and provided an excellent score for The Virgin Suicides in 2000, with the single Playground Love proving very popular.

In 2001 the band released their second studio album, 10 000 Hz Legend, which was their first album to break into the US Billboard Album Charts.

Talkie Walkie (2004), Pocket Symphony (2007), Love 2 (2009) and Le voyage dans la lune (2012) all followed, and the group have gone on to sell millions of records and win a host of accolades. They are also one of the premier live acts of their genre, which straddles electronica, dream pop, trip-hop, ambient and chillout.
