Chelsea have not endured the best of starts to the 2023/24 season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side entered the October international break with 11 points from eight matches in the Premier League. So far, the Blues have won only three times this league campaign, with two of those coming in their last two outings at Fulham and Burnley.
Chelsea are one of the most successful football teams in England, particularly over the last two decades. No fewer than five times have they been crowned Premier League champions, supplemented by eight FA Cup titles.
The Blues also boast considerable pedigree in European competitions, having won the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League twice apiece since 2012.
However, as of late, the tide has been turning at Stamford Bridge. It has been a turbulent and uncertain period following the change of ownership in 2022 when the consortium headed by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital acquired the West London club.
This period of transition has been characterised by a flurry of personnel changes, with a host of new faces on and off the pitch.
Pochettino was appointed manager following a worst-ever Premier League campaign for the Blues, in which they picked up just 11 wins and a total of 44 points.
The Chelsea boss is about to embark on a particularly difficult run of fixtures, which will see his team share a pitch with some of the best and most dominant sides in the league.
We take a look at Chelsea’s upcoming schedule, and how you can buy tickets for these encounters of huge significance:
Chelsea vs Arsenal – 21st October 2023
Chelsea vs Arsenal tickets are starting from £185 with SeatPick.
Immediately following the October international break, these London rivals are set to go to battle at the Bridge.
Arsenal are the obvious favourites ahead of this clash, as Mikel Arteta’s side sit joint-top of the table and have yet to taste defeat after eight league games.
Chelsea have been far from convincing this term, particularly on home soil. They have earned just a solitary win (against Luton Town) from their four matches at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will have it all to do when they welcome the Gunners, fresh off a precious victory over defending champions Manchester City.
Although this may not be the most closely-fought derby, we’re still expecting it to be an explosive encounter.
Don’t miss out when the Gunners make the short journey across the capital to Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea – 6th November 2023
Tottenham vs Chelsea tickets start from £116 through SeatPick.
The intra-city derbies don’t stop there for Chelsea. The Blues will then travel to the north of the capital, but not before they host local foes Brentford to close out October.
This encounter will be extra special for Pochettino, who comes up against his former employers for the first time since leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019.
The Argentine coach spent five years in charge of the Lilywhites, during which time there were clear signs of progress for both the team as well as the manager himself. Pochettino remarkably steered Tottenham to the UEFA Champions League final in 2018/19 but ultimately lost to Liverpool at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
However, Spurs aren’t looking back and instead are now basking with their new manager Ange Postecoglou. The ex-Australia and Celtic head coach has galvanised what was a broken squad in north London, with Tottenham at the summit of the league table and undefeated after eight games.
Postecoglou has a terrific track record in home matches which, together with the vocal support at Spurs’ stadium, may prove a major obstacle for Chelsea to overcome when they head to Tottenham.
It should produce an entertaining battle when Postecoglou and Pochettino go head-to-head for the first time. You won’t want to miss out on this epic clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!
Ange Postecoglou is unbeaten in his last 51 home matches as a manager.

Chelsea vs Manchester City – 12th November 2023
Chelsea vs Manchester City tickets start from £167 at SeatPick.
It only gets tougher for Pochettino and co. as Stamford Bridge plays host to the defending champions.
Pochettino is no stranger to Pep Guardiola, and the pair of forward-thinking coaches know each other rather well.
The current Chelsea boss has not faced any manager more times than he has Guardiola. Of their 22 previous meetings, Pochettino has claimed victory only four times – including just once in seven Premier League matches.
Pochettino did however get the upper hand over the mastermind of Manchester City’s sporting project, in the Champions League quarter-finals of 2019. Tottenham won 1-0 in the first leg before they advanced to the last-four via the away-goal rule.
Of course, the Spaniard is now four years deeper into his project at the Etihad Stadium and thus his side will be a tremendously tough nut to crack in Pochettino’s first season in charge of Chelsea.

Newcastle United vs Chelsea – 25th November 2023
Newcastle United vs Chelsea tickets are starting from £175 with SeatPick.
The November international break may serve as a slight reprieve for Chelsea, but things are due to heat up again when club football resumes ahead of a busy schedule over the festive season.
The Blues pay a visit to St. James’ Park, which as of late has become a tough ground to perform at for many away teams.
Entering the October international break, Newcastle United had lost just three of their last 30 competitive matches (across all competitions) at home. Throughout the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, the Magpies were defeated only twice at St. James’ Park.
On paper, Chelsea will be second-favourites for victory in this fixture. But it will be up to Pochettino and his charges to put in a commendable performance and leave Tyneside with at least 1 point.

Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion – 2nd December 2023
Chelsea vs Brighton tickets start from £94 at SeatPick.
Chelsea’s clash with Newcastle is followed by another highly-anticipated affair, as the Seagulls travel to west London.
Brighton & Hove Albion were the winners of this fixture last term, by two goals to one, as Roberto De Zerbi guided the club to claim its first-ever victory at Chelsea.
This contest will thus act as a gauge of how much progress has been made by the Blues since the disastrous campaign of 2022/23.
Moises Caicedo should be a significant talking point in this fixture, following his £113m move – a British record fee – from the Amex Stadium to Stamford Bridge in the summer. It remains to be seen whether the impact of the Ecuador midfielder can push Chelsea towards victory over this well-oiled machine in Brighton.

Manchester United vs Chelsea – 6th December 2023
At SeatPick, Manchester United vs Chelsea tickets are available from as little as £90.
To top it all off, Chelsea will finally make the journey to Old Trafford. With a capacity of 74,310 and a vibrant atmosphere on matchday, this stadium can provide a daunting experience for visiting teams.
Manchester United recently embarked on a 31-match unbeaten run at Old Trafford, before Brighton’s victory at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ in September.
For the Red Devils, this may also be a tricky fixture as Erik ten Hag’s men could have one eye on their Champions League group tie with Bayern Munich the following week.
Last season, the hosts recorded a resounding win in this fixture. Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford were all on the scoresheet as Man United conquered the Blues by four goals to one.
Mason Mount may come up against his former club following a £55m transfer from London to Manchester in the summer.
Chelsea have not been victorious in a league fixture at Old Trafford since 2013, towards the end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s illustrious 26-year spell as Man United manager.
