This is the fifth edition of the Nations League and it seems reasonable to say that this tournament has been a big success since it started in September 2018.
The thinking was quite sensible. European international teams were playing lots of friendlies before European Championships and World Cup qualifiers, so why not add some really competitive matches to the calendar.
The Nations League doesn't only result in better games but also contributes to Euro and World Cup qualifying too.
The upcoming Nations League feels in higher stature for a couple of reasons. First off, we are just weeks after a World Cup, so for many teams in Europe - e.g. Spain, France, England and Norway, remain at peak popularity and interest.
Secondly, this is the first time we will see an extended international break in September and October. So the Nations League teams will play four games in quick succession.
The tournament should get a boost of interest from this. Perhaps also for the November games too. We pulled resale ticket data for all 156 fixtures across both windows to see exactly which countries are costing fans the most, and least, to follow this season.

Nations League 2026/27 Ticket Prices: What 156 Fixtures Tell Us
We tracked resale pricing across all 156 Nations League fixtures played between September 24 and November 17, 2026, spanning Leagues A, B, C and D.
Between them, those games have more than 205,000 tickets currently sitting on the resale market.
Starting prices for a single fixture range from just £8 up to £707, and average out at £71 across the whole competition. Average prices paid climb to £188 once the full spread of listings is factored in, and the priciest single ticket recorded anywhere in the competition tops out at £11,587.

Croatia, England & Israel: The Most Expensive Countries To Watch In The Nations League
Averaging out the starting price of every game each country plays across the September, October and November windows, three nations stand well clear of the pack.
Croatia top the table at £168 a ticket to start, driven almost entirely by a single scarce fixture at home to England. England themselves sit second at £160, though their price is built the opposite way round, driven up by expensive away trips rather than a pricey home ticket. Israel complete the top three at £145, with all three of their home fixtures played in Hungary due to the ongoing displacement of their home matches. Since the Israel fixtures are usually played in front of sparse crowds, the high prices are more to do with the lack of inventory on secondary sites.
Turkey and Northern Ireland round out the top five, both benefiting from tight ticket allocations at some of their smaller home venues.

Serbia, Germany & Greece: Where To Find 2026/27 Nations League Bargains
At the other end of the market, three countries stand out as the best value this season.
Serbia are the cheapest country to follow in 2026, starting at just £22 on average across their six games. Germany (£31) isn't far behind, with Greece and Italy (£32 each) and Netherlands (£35) also amongst the best value in the competition.
All five play in large stadiums with a healthy resale supply, and none currently carry a fixture with the kind of scarcity that pushes Croatia and England to the top of the table.

Home Or Away? Where Croatia, Turkey & England Fans Pay Different Prices
Averaging out a country's full campaign hides an important split. For some nations, watching at home costs far more than following the team on the road, and for others it's the exact opposite.
Croatia fans pay £302 to watch at home but just £34 on the road, the biggest home premium of any country this season. Turkey and Norway follow a similar pattern, both commanding a big premium at home thanks to a squeeze on local ticket supply. Norway in particular are riding a wave of excitement following their World Cup quarter-final placing and star players such as Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland.
Flip it around and England fans face the opposite. They pay just £48 at home but £273 to follow the team away, and Belgium and Portugal fans see a similar away-day premium. England are another international team that got the pulses racing at the World Cup and for many in Europe there is a desire to see the likes of Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham in the flesh.

With the Nations League league phase split across two separate international breaks, it's worth knowing which one is actually cheaper to attend.
The 104 fixtures played across the September and October window average £61 on starting price, noticeably cheaper than the £90 average across the 52 fixtures played in November.
Part of that gap comes down to one outlier, Croatia vs England, but even without it the November window still carries a real premium over the earlier break.
The November Nations League prices could of course change significantly, depending on results in October.
