France and England at Six Nations
France entered the tournament for the first time in 1910, expanding the original Home Nations to the Five Nations. Only in 1954 did the French win the Championship for the first time.
In the opposite corner, England took part in the maiden edition of the Home Nations Championship back in 1883, together with Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
England were winners of the maiden event and the Red Rose has gone on to become hugely successful in the history of this competition.
In recent years both England and France have regularly been in contention to win the Championship. Les Bleus won a 26th title in 2022, ending a 12-year drought since they were last Six Nations champions.

The teams have met on the biggest stages in world rugby, including the World Cup semi-finals of 2003 and 2007 with the English triumphant on both occasions.
At the 2023 Six Nations, Les Bleus claimed a resounding 53-10 victory at Twickenham Stadium, having also taken victory over the English the previous year at Stade de France.
