About AS Roma Tickets 2026/27

The eternal city is the home of Associazione Sportiva Roma, one of the major Italian football clubs and a regular competitor towards the top end of the Serie A. The club's storied history is reflected in their numerous league titles, but also through participating in European tournaments through which they've attracted heaps of international fans.

SeatPick offers unrivalled access to the very best Roma tickets from dozens of trusted sellers on the resale market. Secure your seats through our platform for a minimum 100% ticket guarantee.

AS Roma History

This legendary club was formed in 1927 as a merger between three teams based in the Italian capital; namely Fortitudo-ProRoma, Alba-Audace, and Football Club di Roma. AS Roma initially played at the Alba-Audace stadium for one season, before relocating temporarily to a couple of local venues.

The Giallorossi had made their first big mark on the Italian football scene in 1942, as they won a maiden Serie A title. Roma moved to the Stadio Olimpico in 1953 and this stadium has served as the team's home ground for more than 70 years. Numerous seasons have been imprinted in the memories of supporters, though domestic success has been few and far between for much of the 21st century. The 2000/01 campaign remains the last time Roma captured the Scudetto, with star striker Francesco Totti leading the line.

The unique football club functioned under the umbrella of a publicly traded corporation for decades, regularly changing official club partners. But frequent changes in ownership reflected poorly on the team’s management. This is why fans were delighted in 2020 when American billionaire Dan Friedkin bought the majority stake in the club. It cost Friedkin an estimated $700m to become the majority shareholder of the club.

Fans hoping to attend a game featuring the Giallorossi can find a variety of ticket options with SeatPick. Our platform provides users with access to a wide range of Roma tickets, both for home matches and away.

AS Roma Today

Roma is one of the most successful Italian teams, with no fewer than three Serie A titles and nine Coppa Italia trophies decorating the halls of the club facilities. Success in Europe hasn't been plentiful, although the club regularly participates in tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. Under current head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, appointed in June 2025, Roma finished third in Serie A in 2025/26, securing Champions League qualification for the first time since 2018/19.

The Giallorossi hoisted the Conference League in 2022, as José Mourinho steered the team to a maiden European title. Prior to that, the Roman side ended runners-up to Liverpool in the 1983/84 European Cup final. Roma also had to settle for second place in the 1990/91 UEFA Cup, losing 2-1 to Inter Milan in the final.

AS Roma Stadium

Roma play their home games at the Stadio Olimpico, the largest sports facility in Italy. This stadium has a capacity above 70,000 and it also serves as the home ground of Roma's bitter rivals, Lazio, as well as the Italy national team.

Stadio Olimpico regularly hosts other events, including rugby matches of the Italy national rugby team, in addition to concerts and musical performances.

AS Roma Rivalries

Hometown rivalry is often the most intense, and that is certainly the case when it comes to the Italian capital. Roma has an arch enemy in SS Lazio, with both teams sharing the Stadio Olimpico. The two sides play alternating home matches and both sets of supporters tend to display religious veneration for their team’s colours.

Fans across Italy mark the Derby Della Capitale on their calendars as soon as the fixtures are released each year, and the streets of Italy’s capital turn into a (non-violent) 'battleground' for the fiercest intra-city derby. SeatPick has a wide selection of Roma vs Lazio tickets too, if you'd like to see these fierce rivals fight it out at the Stadio Olimpico.

AS Roma Best Footballers

The reputation of the team and the allure of the city have attracted many popular footballers. Perhaps there is no hero more revered than Francesco Totti, nicknamed Er Bimbo de Oro (The Golden Boy). The striker spent his entire club career at his boyhood team, making a grand total 786 appearances across a 24-year spell with the senior team. Totti also netted 307 goals in Roma colours, making him the top scorer in the club's history.

Other high-profile individuals who have donned the badge of the Giallorossi down the years include:

  • Bruno Conti

  • Carlo Ancelotti

  • Vincent Candela

  • Vincenzo Montella

  • Gabriel Batistuta

  • Daniele De Rossi
