Camp Nou Guide for Aston Villa & Man City Fans: Seats, Tickets
- Last Updated On
- Ben Green
The Champions League is close to the halfway stage in the league phase and Barcelona remain amongst the favourites despite their recent defeat to PSG.
On the bucket list of Champions League away ties, a trip to Barcelona’s Camp Nou is very much up there.
For many English fans, a Champions League night at the Camp Nou would once have seemed fanciful at best. Aston Villa haven’t played there in a competitive game since 1983, and Manchester City’s last competitive visit was in 2016.
Now both Aston Villa and Manchester City will travel to Barcelona with some hope, albeit in the knowledge that they are playing the best team in Spain.

Camp Nou in 2026: A Stadium Still Being Built
It is worth knowing what you are walking into. Barcelona moved back into the Camp Nou in stages from November 2025, and the work hasn’t stopped around them.
The current licence allows 62,652 fans, well short of the old 99,000. The third tier isn’t expected to be fully open this season, and the finished stadium of around 105,000 isn’t likely until 2027/28 at the earliest.
Which sections are open can change from match to match. The Camp Nou seating plan is the best place to get your bearings before you buy.
Where Do Away Fans Sit at Camp Nou?
Visiting fans used to be sent high up into the top tier. While the redevelopment goes on, recent away allocations have been placed in a fenced corner about halfway up the stadium instead.
The front of that section is lined with Perspex screens. Those who have been say it slightly spoils the view and dampens the noise, which is a shame given the occasion.
The exact corner and entrance are decided for each match and printed on your ticket, so check that before you set off. Barcelona are strict on entry too: Aston Villa fans had to register passport details in advance, and passports are being checked at the turnstiles.
Away Section Tickets on SeatPick
If you want to be with your own fans, SeatPick now has an away filter on selected matches. For Barcelona vs Manchester City, it shows only listings in the away section, and right now that is where the cheapest tickets are, from £232.
The filter isn’t live for Barcelona vs Aston Villa yet, but we expect it to follow. Until then, Villa fans buying on the resale market should assume they are in home or neutral areas, so leave the colours at the hotel.
Barcelona vs Aston Villa: Tuesday 3 November
Villa’s last competitive visit to the Camp Nou was the first leg of the 1982 European Super Cup, played in January 1983. Barcelona won that night 1-0, but Villa won the second leg 3-0 after extra time and took the trophy home.
The club’s allocation of 2,987 tickets sold out quickly. On SeatPick there are still over 1,300 listings, starting from £173, with an average price of £452.
Barcelona vs Manchester City: Tuesday 8 December
City’s last competitive trip to the Camp Nou was in October 2016, Pep Guardiola’s first game back as an opposition manager. It didn’t go to plan: Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick, Claudio Bravo was sent off and Barcelona won 4-0.
This is the more expensive of the two English nights. Manchester City tickets start from £232, and the £758 average is around two thirds higher than for the Villa game.
That starting price has already come down, from £300 on 22 October. With more than 4,400 tickets listed, there is plenty of supply.

Barcelona Champions League Ticket Prices Compared
Both English matches cost more than the rest of Barcelona’s Champions League home games. The visit of Como in January, for example, starts from £129.
| Date | Champions League Match, Camp Nou | Starting Price (£) |
|---|---|---|
| Tue 3 Nov 2026 | Barcelona vs Aston Villa | £173 |
| Tue 8 Dec 2026 | Barcelona vs Manchester City | £232 |
| Wed 27 Jan 2027 | Barcelona vs Como | £129 |
Neither comes close to Barcelona vs Real Madrid on 25 October, where tickets were over £700 on the day. We looked at why in our El Clasico ticket prices analysis.
If you are following Manchester City in the Champions League this season, this is one to budget for. You will find every other fixture on our Champions League league phase page.
Make a Weekend of It: Add a La Liga Game at Camp Nou
Both English games are on a Tuesday, and FC Barcelona play at home in La Liga a few days before each one. If you are flying out anyway, it is a good excuse to see two matches.
| Date | Match + Venue | Starting Price (£) |
|---|---|---|
| Sat 31 Oct 2026 | Barcelona vs Alavés, Camp Nou | £89 |
| Tue 3 Nov 2026 | Barcelona vs Aston Villa, Camp Nou | £173 |
| Sun 6 Dec 2026 | Barcelona vs Celta Vigo, Camp Nou | £113 |
| Tue 8 Dec 2026 | Barcelona vs Manchester City, Camp Nou | £232 |
Villa fans have the better deal here. Alavés on the Saturday night starts from £89, which is around half the price of the Villa game itself.
City fans can catch Celta on the Sunday from £113 and stay on for the Tuesday. There is more on the calendar too, with every sports event in Barcelona listed in one place.
How to Get to Camp Nou
The Metro is the easiest way to get there. Collblanc and Badal on line 5 are the closest stops, while Les Corts and Palau Reial on line 3 are handy from the city centre.
With a 9pm kick-off, passport checks and a busy Metro afterwards, give yourself plenty of time. If you have an early flight home, plan your route back to the hotel before the game rather than after it.
