About Bohse Onkelz Tickets 2026

Böhse Onkelz are one of Germany's best-selling and most polarizing rock bands, a group that spent the 1980s on the fringes and later sold out racetracks and stadiums.

Their name is a deliberate misspelling of the German for "Evil Uncles," a nod to the neighborhood warning that gave the band its name in Hösbach, near Frankfurt.

Their albums have topped the German charts for decades, built on hard-rock anthems about loyalty, friendship, and surviving your own mistakes.

What to Expect from a Böhse Onkelz Concert?

A night with the band runs for around two hours and roughly thirty songs, with a long main set followed by a multi-song encore.

Kevin Russell's gravelly vocals lead the crowd through fan-chosen anthems, and many songs are sung back almost word for word.

Open-air stadium productions bring big stages and screens, while smaller warm-up dates in clubs and halls give the same songs a rawer feel.

The atmosphere is closer to a gathering of lifelong fans than a typical rock night, with loyalty to the band a recurring theme.

Böhse Onkelz's Biography

Böhse Onkelz formed in Hösbach in 1980 around Kevin Russell, Stephan "Der W" Weidner, and Peter "Pe" Schorowsky, with guitarist Matthias "Gonzo" Röhr joining in 1981.

They began as a punk band influenced by the Sex Pistols and the Ramones, and their 1984 debut, Der nette Mann, is widely regarded as the first German album to openly celebrate skinhead values.

That early period, including bootlegged demos with xenophobic lyrics that the band has repeatedly disavowed, left a controversy that followed them for years and led many retailers to refuse to stock their records.

By 2002 their album Dopamin reached number one in Germany, and they opened for the Rolling Stones in Hanover in 2003 before announcing a breakup after 2004's Adios.

They played farewell shows at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz in June 2005, then reunited in 2014 for sold-out Hockenheimring concerts in front of 200,000 fans.

Böhse Onkelz's Albums & Projects

The band's discography runs through dozens of releases, including 1992's E.I.N.S., 2002's Dopamin as their fifteenth studio album, and 2004's Adios.

After their reunion, 2016's Memento topped the charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, followed by a self-titled album in 2020.

A live album, 40 Jahre Onkelz – Live im Waldstadion, documented their 40th anniversary stadium performances.

Most Popular Böhse Onkelz Songs and Setlist Selections

"Mexico," "Gehasst, verdammt, vergöttert," "Finde die Wahrheit," "Erinnerungen," and "Nichts ist für die Ewigkeit" are the most-played songs in the band's live history.

"Auf gute Freunde" and "Kirche" regularly close or anchor sets, and many fans treat "Danke für nichts" and "Terpentin" as essential.

Previous Böhse Onkelz Tours and Festival Appearances

Their 2022 Waldstadion performances in Frankfurt, now known as Deutsche Bank Park, marked their 40th anniversary and became the basis for a live album.

An Open Air Tour in 2024 included a performance at the Paul-Außerleitner-Schanze ski jump in Austria, preceded by warm-up dates in smaller halls.

Like fellow German rock institution Scorpions, they have built an audience that spans several generations and fills venues on a very large scale.
