There will be eight groups of four teams, with the top two in each group progressing to the knockout stages. Groups cannot have more than one team from the same confederation, with the exception of Europe which will have 12 representatives at the 2025 Club World Cup.
The 32 teams comprise of recent champions of the premier club competition in each of the six international confederations, in addition to others who qualify via the ranking pathway.
The winners of the AFC Champions League, CAF Champions League, CONCACAF Champions Cup, Copa Libertadores, and UEFA Champions League since 2021 have all earned a spot at the Club World Cup 2025, via the champions pathway.
Clubs taking part in the forthcoming edition of the Club World Cup include European heavyweights Real Madrid, Manchester City and Inter Milan, as well as Boca Juniors and Fluminense FC from South America.
