Fulham FC is London's oldest (active) professional club, but have very little to show for it in terms of silverware.

The Cottagers have taken part in every edition of the League Cup to date, but they have yet to win the trophy or even reach the final.

Under manager Marco Silva, the Craven Cottage side reached the last-four of this tournament for the first time in club history. Fulham warded off Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City, Ipswich Town, and Everton, before being drawn with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Reaching the Carabao Cup semi-finals in 2023/24 was the furthest Fulham had ever progressed in this tournament.

The west London outfit advanced to the League Cup quarter-finals in 2000/01 and in 2004/05, losing to the eventual champions (Liverpool and Chelsea) on either occasion. Fulham had also made the quarters back in 1967 and again three years later.

Fulham FC Memorable Moments in the EFL Cup

Fulham's best spell of chasing trophy success in this competition came in the early years of the 21st century.

In 2000, the Cottagers fought their way to the quarter-finals and even held Liverpool at bay for 90 minutes, only for the Reds to score three in extra-time at Anfield on their way to lifting this trophy for the sixth time.

Jean Tigana's side reached the last-16 the following season, though ultimately fell short to fellow London outfit Tottenham. Fulham once again made it to the quarter-finals in 2004, but bowed out to arch rivals Chelsea, managed by José Mourinho.

In 2023, Fulham beat Everton in a nail-biting penalty shootout after their quarter-final tie ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. This famous victory at Goodison Park will go down in Fulham history, as the first time the club reached the semi-finals in the 60+ year history of the League Cup.
