Leiva Tickets

Before he was Leiva the solo artist, he was one half of Pereza, the rock duo whose scrappy 2001-to-2011 run helped define a whole era of Spanish alternative rock, and the songs from that period still show up in his live sets today, decades later.

Since going solo in 2012, José Miguel Conejo Torres has built something distinct from that earlier chapter: seven studio albums of confessional, cinematic pop-rock, produced almost entirely by himself, and a reputation as one of the most consistent sold-out draws in Spanish-language music.

His shows have become known less for spectacle and more for craft — organic instrumentation, warm lighting, and a setlist built to move deliberately from raw energy to quiet intimacy and back again.

What to Expect from a Leiva Concert?

A Leiva show is built around a clear arc: an energetic opening, an intimate, stripped-back middle section, and a euphoric, brass-and-full-band close before the encore.

He rarely uses dancers or heavy choreography, leaning instead on organic instrumentation and a visual language built from lighting and projections rather than staged spectacle.

Expect reworked arrangements throughout — ballads turned acoustic with piano, upbeat rock numbers given extra percussion, and the occasional medley connecting songs that share a common thread.

His longtime backing band, La Leiband, anchors every show, giving the live sound a road-tested cohesion that's carried through multiple album cycles.

Leiva's Biography

José Miguel Conejo Torres was born on 30 April 1980 in Madrid, Spain, and grew up in the Alameda de Osuna neighborhood in the city's northeast.

He first found fame in 2001 as one half of Pereza, a rock duo formed with fellow musician Rubén Pozo, recording six albums together before the group announced its split in 2011.

His 2012 solo debut, Diciembre, which he wrote and produced himself, was named Album of the Year by Rolling Stone in Spain, launching a solo career distinct from his Pereza years.

He's since built a reputation as both a performer and a producer, collaborating with artists including Joaquín Sabina, with whom he shared a Goya Award nomination, and working alongside a wide range of prominent Latin American women artists on his 2021 album.

His work has earned him two Goya Awards for Best Original Song, for "La Llamada" and "Sintiéndolo Mucho," alongside a third nomination in 2026.

Leiva's Albums & Projects

Following his 2012 debut, Diciembre, Leiva released Pólvora in 2014 and Monstruos in 2016, both continuing to build his reputation as a solo songwriter distinct from his Pereza work.

Nuclear followed in 2019, and Cuando Te Muerdes el Labio arrived in 2021, featuring collaborations with Natalia Lafourcade, Ximena Sariñana, and Elsa y Elmar, reflecting his growing connection to Latin American music.

His most recent studio album, Gigante, was released on 4 April 2025, alongside continued work on new material previewed during live performances.

Most Popular Leiva Songs and Setlist Selections

"La Llamada" and "Terriblemente Cruel" remain setlist staples, drawing some of the loudest singalongs of any given night.

"Sincericidio" and "No Te Preocupes Por Mí" also feature regularly, alongside occasional nods to his earlier Pereza catalogue.

Previous Leiva Tours and Festival Appearances

Leiva's Cuando Te Muerdes el Labio tour set records at WiZink Center in Madrid, selling out five consecutive dates faster than any previous run of his career.

He achieved similar sold-out success internationally, including shows at Mexico City's Teatro Metropólitan and Buenos Aires's Teatro Gran Rex, eventually closing that tour at the Auditorio Nacional and Luna Park.

He's also collaborated closely with Joaquín Sabina, producing several of the veteran singer-songwriter's albums and sharing joint live performances over the years.
