Morgan Dealie Wade was born in Floyd, Virginia, in December 1994 and started writing songs while in college. In 2018, she advertised on Craiglist for like-minded musicians to help record and self-release her debut album, Puppets with My Heart, which was released as part of a project called The Stepbrothers.

In 2021, via Thirty Tigers and Arista Nashville, she released her second album, Reckless, which proved a big success. The record reached number two on the US Heatseekers chart and included her breakout debut single, Wilder Days. That track earned her comparisons with Sheryl Crow and helped her garner much-needed attention.

Her fanbase was steadily growing, and Morgan Wade events became very popular. As a country music artist, it was clear that she had a lot to offer.
