Rangers FC have played a multitude of matches in the Europa League over the years, although the title has continued to remain just out of reach. The Gers always provide stuff competition when involved in the tournament. They've played more than 120 games in the UEFA Cup/Europa League since their first appearance in 1982.
The Light Blues’ best finish came back in the 2007/08 edition of the UEFA Cup, as it was known then, when they reached the final of the competition. The Ibrox outfit managed to beat the likes of Werder Bremen, Sporting CP and Fiorentina before falling short against Zenit St. Petersburg in the showpiece final in Manchester, England.
Rangers upset the odds once again in the 2021/22 season to reach the Europa League final in Budapest. They shocked Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in the knockout rounds, but were beaten on penalties in the final by Eintracht Frankfurt.
