2010/11 marked the longest run Braga had managed thus far. Firstly, they competed in the UEFA Champions League for the first time and finished third in a group that included Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Partizan Belgrade and were demoted to the UEFA Europa League.

Here, they beat Lech Poznan, Liverpool, Dynamo Kyiv and fellow Portuguese side Benfica to reach the final, where they met another side from Portugal.

Braga met FC Porto in Dublin and fought well before going down to a single goal from Colombian goal machine Radamel Falcao.

Between 2011/12 and 2022/23, SC Braga played in Europe almost every season but never got back to their best, with their furthest placement being a UEFA Europa League Quarter-Final loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2015/16.
