Tucker Harrington Pillsbury was born on May 15, 1997, in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, to a real estate appraiser father and a special education teacher mother. He studied film at Pittsburgh's Point Park University until back-to-back wrist injuries, from skiing and then skateboarding, left him stuck in his dorm room with a friend's abandoned recording gear.

What started as rap experiments during that recovery became Role Model, a name borrowed from the reckless, directionless stretch of life when he first picked up a mic. He self-released the EP Arizona in the Summer in 2017 and signed with Interscope Records the following year.

Role Model Albums & Projects

Two more EPs, Oh, How Perfect (2019) and Our Little Angel (2020), came before his 2022 debut LP Rx introduced him as a full-fledged pop songwriter. Kansas Anymore followed in 2024, a folk-leaning pivot around heartbreak and homesickness, later expanded into the deluxe edition Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye) in early 2025.

Chuck Timely & The Hourglass, out August 7, 2026, introduced the project with lead single "High Hopes 3000."
