Bicep Tickets

Bicep started as a music blog run by two childhood friends in Belfast, and became one of the most trusted names in electronic music on the strength of their record collecting and a gift for emotional, club-ready dance tracks.

Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, now based in London, built an audience of more than 100,000 monthly readers before they ever headlined a festival.

Their live shows are built around a custom audiovisual performance rather than a standard DJ set, and in 2022 almost one million people saw them play.

What to Expect from a Bicep Concert?

A Bicep night is closer to a full audiovisual production than a typical DJ set, with synchronized visuals, live-played hardware, and a deliberate emotional arc.

The music blends deep house, breakbeat, trance, and warm analogue synths, so the energy rises and falls in waves rather than staying at a constant peak.

Their set design has evolved over time, and recent performances have leaned into a distinctive visual identity created with designer David Rudnick.

Crowds tend to be devoted to the music, with an atmosphere that mixes dance-floor euphoria and quiet, wide-eyed listening.

Bicep's Biography

Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar met at the age of eight playing rugby in Belfast and were later separated by university in Manchester and Newcastle.

They started the Feel My Bicep blog in 2008 as a place to share lost 80s synth, house, Italo disco, jungle, and funk, and began DJing under the same name.

After releasing tracks on labels like Throne of Blood and Aus Music, they launched their own Feel My Bicep label in September 2012 and later signed to Ninja Tune.

Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2017, featuring the hit "Glue," and they followed it with a headline world tour across the US, Japan, and Europe.

In 2024 they launched CHROMA, a project combining a record label, curated events, and a constantly evolving audiovisual show.

Bicep's Albums & Projects

Their debut album, Bicep, was released in 2017 and was followed by Isles in January 2021, which reached number two on the UK Albums Chart.

Isles also topped the UK Official Vinyl Albums Chart and earned the duo two BRIT Award nominations.

The CHROMA series then ran through ten releases, including CHROMA 008 TANGZ with ELIZA, and concluded with CHROMA 010 BRILLO in 2025.

Most Popular Bicep Songs and Setlist Selections

"Glue" is the song most fans are waiting for, a track that has become a defining moment of their sets.

"Atlas," the lead single from Isles, is also a staple, along with other tracks from that album and the CHROMA releases.

Previous Bicep Tours and Festival Appearances

Between 2017 and 2018 the duo took their live show across the US, Japan, and Europe on a headline world tour.

In 2025 they played CHROMA dates in New Zealand and Australia as part of Laneway Festival, and their label-mate Bonobo shares their Ninja Tune roots.

They sit alongside UK dance peers like Four Tet and Disclosure in the country's dance-music scene.
