Demi Lovato Biography

Demetria Devonne Lovato was born in August 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She started to learn how to play the piano and the guitar from an early age and broke into the acting world by playing the role of Charlotte Adams on the Disney Channel show As the Bell Rings.

She was signed to Hollywood Records and released her debut album, Don't Forget, in 2008 and it rose to number two on the US Billboard Album charts and also did well across Europe. This came after the release of her debut single, This is Me (with Joe Jonas), which featured in the movie Camp Rock.

Singles from her debut album include Get Back, La La Land and Don't Forget, all of which charted well in the US.

IN 2009, Here We Go Again, Demi Lovato's second studio album, secured her the first US Billboard number one album of her career and helped to propel her into the mainstream. Two years later, Unbroken was another success, going platinum in the US. In 2012 she became a judge on the TV show The X Factor, becoming the youngest judge to ever feature in the history of the show.

In 2013, she performed a rock version of the track Heart Attack, which then featured on her fourth studio album, Demi, and reached the top ten in the US.
