Gareth Southgate's England will feel they have a genuine chance to secure their first World Cup triumph since 1966, while Robert Page's Wales will believe his side is capable of making it through Group B and once the knockout stages start, who knows what the Welsh can achieve.

England supporters know it's been a long time since their one and only major tournament success, and Southgate arguably has a squad that is very capable of going all the way.

The Three Lions did well at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, making it all the way through to the semi-finals, and in the delayed 2020 European Championships, they only narrowly lost on penalties to Italy in the final. At the very least, Southgate will be looking to push his side far into the knockout stages, and a max expectation may well be to win the whole competition, a goal that is not implausible.

It's been a long wait for an England success, and that may well further boost interest in England tickets.

The groups that were drawn before the tournament are all well-balanced, but Group B is perhaps one of the most interesting. As well as England and Wales, there is Iran and the United States in the running for qualification for the Round of 16.

As for Wales, well, this is their first World Cup finals since 1958, and Page will expect a great deal from his more experienced talents. Players such as Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey have always delivered the goods when in Wales colours, and they are sure to make an impact in Qatar.

Wales made it through to the finals after defeating Ukraine to book their place in Qatar, and just about everyone in the country will be looking to get a ticket to the World Cup 2022 party.

The World Cup 2022 isn't the first time these two nations have gone head to head at a major tournament. In 2016 England narrowly beat Wales 2-1 in France, with goals from Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge coming after Bale had given the Welsh the lead.

The two have met a total of 103 times, with England winning 68 times to a total of 14 wins by Wales, with 21 games ending in a stalemate.

The impressive Al Rayyan Stadium, one of three in the local area, will host this monumental battle, which takes place on the 29th of November. The game is the last for both teams in the group stage and, therefore, will be key to the progress of both England and Wales.

The stadium holds 44,740 seats. All the stadiums in Al Rayyan are state of the art, much like those in Doha, Lusail, Al Khor, and Al Wakrah, and that's chiefly due to the fact that these venues were built specifically for the tournament itself.
