Staind Tickets

For a band that scored one of the biggest post-grunge hits of the 2000s, Staind's live show still runs on the same raw vulnerability that made "It's Been Awhile" resonate in the first place.

Frontman Aaron Lewis splits his time these days between fronting Staind and touring as a solo country artist, and both sides of that career shape what a current Staind concert sounds like.

It's a band built around emotional exposure over volume, even when the guitars get heavy.

What to Expect from a Staind Concert?

Staind built their reputation on the contrast between heavy instrumentation and Aaron Lewis's exposed, often confessional vocal delivery, and that tension still defines their live show.

"Outside" remains a defining moment in their sets, often stripped down acoustically the same way it first broke through as a live performance with Fred Durst back in 1999.

Because Lewis also tours separately as a solo country artist, expect the setlist to lean toward Staind's biggest rock anthems rather than deep cuts, giving the show a hits-heavy focus.

The venue's audience tends to lean towards an older and more nostalgic vibe than a typical modern rock crowd, filled with fans who grew up on early-2000s alternative radio.

Staind Biography

Staind formed in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1995, led by vocalist and guitarist Aaron Lewis alongside guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April, and drummer Jon Wysocki.

Their early sound caught the attention of Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, who helped the band land a major-label deal after discovering them.

Their 2001 album, Break the Cycle, became a defining record of the post-grunge era, going seven-times platinum and anchored by the massive single "It's Been Awhile."

Lewis has run a parallel solo career in country music since 2010, building his own audience alongside his ongoing work fronting Staind, and in 2026 the band marked its 25th anniversary as a group.

The band's catalogue spans eight studio albums, with 2023's Confessions of the Fallen marking their most recent full-length release.

Staind's Albums & Projects

Following their breakout with Break the Cycle in 2001, the band released 14 Shades of Grey in 2003 and their self-titled album, Staind, in 2005, both continuing their run of commercial success.

They followed with 2008's The Illusion of Progress and 2011's Staind, before going on an extended hiatus from new music.

Their most recent album, Confessions of the Fallen, arrived in 2023, marking the band's first new material in over a decade.

Most Popular Staind Songs and Setlist Selections

"It's Been Awhile" remains the song every crowd is waiting for, alongside "Outside," the acoustic performance that first put the band on the mainstream map.

Live sets also regularly include "So Far Away" and "Right Here," both drawn from their commercial peak in the early 2000s.

Previous Staind Tours and Festival Appearances

Staind has played major rock festivals including Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, sharing bills with a rotating cast of alternative and hard rock acts.

They've toured extensively alongside acts from the same post-grunge and nu-metal era, including Limp Bizkit, the band that first helped launch their career.

They've also shared stages with Breaking Benjamin, another band built around a similar mix of heavy instrumentation and melodic vocal hooks.
